Similar Passages should also be provided for the wife and family of a European Teacher.

It should be allowed to Teachers to choose the Route by

which they wish to proceed on or return from Home leave. Government, in cases where a Route other than the direct Route is chosen, should contribute the equivalent of the fare for the Direct Route.

By their own onsent this provision of Passages should not apply to Religious Teachers.

Special consideration should, however, be Liven by the Director of Education on behalf of such Teachers for Passage having a definitely educational aim: e.. to attend Post- Graduate Courses Extension Lectures at Foreigh Universities Educational Congresses, etc.

V. PROVIDENT FUND.

Contributory Proviuent Funds should be obligatory for the Permanent Staff of all Schools in receipt of Government Grants the Minimun Contribution of Teachers being 5% of Salary Contributions to be made monthly and Government shoul contribute not less than an equivalent amount.

Contributions to Provident Funds should be paid into a common Trustee Fund, the acministration of which should be vested in a Board of Control nominated by Government.

By their own consent this Regulation should not apply to members of Religious Cruers or Congregations, nor to Members of Religious Orders or Congregations, not to members of other Missionary Bouies, for who cm suitable provision has otherwise been mae.

Retirement.

Teachers who contribute to an approved Provident Fund should be permitted, if they so wish, to retire on he same conditions in respect of age as in the case of Teachers in Government Schools.

Should such Teachers be retained in office by the School Authorities after the age for Retirement the Government should not be asked to contribute to the Provident Fund for a longer period than 35 years.

ACCCUNTS

Iach School should annually render to the Director of Education a detailed statement of expenditure and Income in the form approved by the Government's Financial Officers.

Such Annual Account shoulů occupy itself only with the Income & Expenditure of that part of the School Life towards which a Grant is made by the Goverment, excluding, therefore all Income an Expenditure in respect of Boarding Establish- ments and/or Residential Quarters of Religious or other Communities comected with the School.

VII. Income.

For the Assessment of Grant Income should be taken into Accom Account.
